Referrals

A referral letter and GP Mental Health Care Plan is required from your GP if you intend to access the Medicare rebate.

You are welcome to self-refer or use Private Health Insurance, and in these cases you do not require a referral.

Rebates

A Medicare rebate of $141.85 is available with a referral and Mental Health Care Plan. These plans allow for up to 10 appointments per calendar year. Your medical professional will allocate a block of six sessions at first, followed by a block of four after a re-referral is given.

Private health insurance:

Please contact your private health fund to discuss the level of cover you have, and if you are eligible for a rebate.

Please note that you cannot claim private health and a Medicare rebate at the same time.

Cancelation Policy

Two business days’ notice are required for cancelling appointments, otherwise a cancellation fee will apply. If there is less than 24 hours’ notice the full fee will apply (and for non-attendance), if there is 24-48 hours’ notice 50% of the session fee will apply.
